Don't think of Valentine's Day as just one
day.
Think of Valentine's Day as a "Shift Point."
A "Shift Point" to the most expanded version
of the love and relationship you really want.
That's right, this Valentine's Day we
encourage you to do all the things you might typically do to
create more love, passion and deeper intimacy.
With one big addition...
We suggest you use this day to make a "shift
point."
This "shift point" can be something that
creates the momentum that propels the two of you to transform
your relationship into more of what you want more of the time.
Sound impossible?
It isn't and here's why...
This time of the year at our house our
attention turns to NCAA basketball. As we're watching the games
on TV, one thing we notice is that momentum plays such a big
part of each game.
In every game, the momentum usually shifts
back and forth several times (just like in our relationships)
and then there is a "shift point" where the momentum swings in
the favor of one team. After that "shift point," the team with
momentum never looks back and they go on to win the game.
Imagine what might happen if you chose to
make this
Valentine's Day a little different. Imagine
the two of you
creating a "shift point" that transforms that
quality of your love and relationship forever.
We hate to be the bearer of bad news but...
Outstanding relationships DO NOT happen by
accident.
They require planning, effort, commitment,
the right
attitudes, the right beliefs, a few simple
skills but more
importantly...
What we have discovered is that more than
anything
else... creating a great relationship simply
requires you
to live each day and as many moments in each
day
with an open heart that is ready, willing and
committed
to give and receive love.
Some questions you can ask yourself (and
invite your partner to ask him or her self as well) that will
help keep the momentum going are:
-- What can I do to open, trust and love
more?
-- What can I do to be more trustable, more
transparent and more giving?
-- What can I do to allow myself to be more
fully present, alive and passionate in each moment?
Go ahead and get the flowers, buy the best
chocolate,
enjoy a nice dinner and do whatever you think
feels right that will help you create a wonderful Valentine's
Day. One that you'll truly remember.
And...
Use this day as a catalyst or "shift point"
to create more of what you want every day.
